Religious Education

First Day (Sunday) programs are offered at Live Oak Friends Meeting from September through May.

Adult First Day School takes place from 9:20 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. The format is varied, and includes speakers, forums, and discussions that seek to enrich the Quaker experience.

Children's First Day School (for ages 3 through 18) takes place from 10:50 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., follows a planned curriculum, and is led by members of the Meeting. Children are encouraged to attend Meeting for Worship for the first 20 minutes of the hour (from 10:30 a.m. to 10:50 a.m.).

Childcare is provided for children under the age of 3 from 10:00 a.m. until noon.

Quakerism 101 is a short course offered by the Meeting to provide a background on our distinctive identity as Quakers and on our distinctive faith. The course is usually held once or twice a year, and is open to new and old members alike.
