Friends, we are fortunate indeed that FCNL representatives will be in town and will be able to meet with us during our Work/Play Day. They will join us for pot luck at about 1:00 pm, and speak with us afterwards. Please join us.
You're invited to meet Mary Stata and Stephen Donahoe who are visiting from the Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL) in Washington, DC.
Mary and Stephen will provide an update on FCNL's work in Washington to peacefully prevent deadly conflict, and discuss why Representative Kay Granger is key to these efforts. They also look forward to learning about your interests and concerns.

Discussion with

Mary Stata, Legislative Associate for Peaceful Prevention of Deadly Conflict

Stephen Donahoe, Major Gifts Officer

Registration materials for 2012 SCYM are posted on the website at www.scym.org. The registration deadline is 2 weeks from today, March 19. It greatly helps the registrar if Friends register before that deadline.
Please consider going to South Central Yearly Meeting, especially if you have not been before. There are fun activities for both children and adults, as well as the yearly meeting business sessions. It is an important part of our participation of our regional community of Friends.
Go to www.scym.org to register. You can also view the newsletter, which has further information about 2012 SCYM sessions, at http://www.scym.org/members/documents/newsfeb2012.pdf.
