Free Reading of Dead Man Walking with Sister Helen Prejean at HSPVA Jan 21

This Friday, Jan 21, 2011, a staged reading will take place of scenes from Tim Robbins' play, Dead Man Walking at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts' Denney Theatre.  Following will be a panel discussion with Sister Helen Prejean, writer of the book on which the play and opera are based; Carol Vance, District Attorney in Harris County in the 70's when the death penalty was reinstated and Linda White, a member of the organization - Victims' Families Against the Death Penalty. This will be followed by a reception in the school's Commons.
