World Quaker Day and the James Turrell Skyspace

Curious about Quakers?
Been meaning to visit the James Turrell Skyspace in the Live Oak Friends (Quaker) Meetinghouse in The Heights?
Here is your chance to learn more about both, with refreshments.
6 pm: The Meetinghouse will open with showing a Houston Public Media video interview with the Quaker artist, James Turrell, describing how he decided to work with light and create the meetinghouse as his 83rd light installation.
6:30-7:30 pm: The normal skyspace opening from a half hour before sunset until a half hour after.
7:30 pm: Time for refreshments and questions. We welcome all and invite sharing your own experiences about light, spirit, and any questions you may have about the Religious Society of Friends commonly called Quakers or the meetinghouse.
