Welcome to Live Oak Friends Meeting!

We are an open, welcoming community of The Religious Society of Friends, commonly called Quakers. We meet together in unprogrammed and expectant Meeting for Worship seeking direct communion with God, the Divine Spirit, Consciousness or whatever name one may use to identify the transcendent essence of energy that infuses all life. From time to time someone attending may stand and share their spirit-led experience briefly.

Our interactions with our neighbors (each other and the world at large) are grounded in and guided by the belief that there is “that of God” in everyone and the Quaker testimonies of Simplicity, Peace, Integrity, Community, Equality, and Stewardship.

Learn more about what Quakers believe here.

Our children and families are very important, with a nursery for children under three, and programs for preschool, elementary, middle school and high school kids.

There are many opportunities to visit us, both in person and on line.

Check the Meeting calendar and Events page for other activities.
